OUR JOURNEY
Built on Decades of Fermentation Expertise
With decades of fermentation experience, our founder, Tony Nyinaku, launched Wales’ first soy sauce company in the late 1990’s for large scale supply to industry. This pioneering milestone established the foundation for decades of innovation.
Building on that success, he created a premium range of UK-made clean-label black bean products for the UK and European supermarkets in his next fermentation factory. Another first. From there, joined by his family, he expanded the company’s portfolio to include several brand new miso varieties and specialty blended sauces, inspiring new culinary possibilities for UK supermarkets.
In 2024, we established Oriental Specialty Limited to address one of the food industry’s greatest challenges: long lead times. From our brand new factory in Newport, built from the ground up, we offer high-quality fermented products and non-fermented blended condiments, dependable supply and technical expertise to support food manufacturers, agents, wholesalers, and distributors nationwide.
